Bigil (transl. Whistle) is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language sports movie composed and directed by Atlee Kumar and delivered by Kalpathi S. Aghoram under the standard AGS Entertainment. The film stars Vijay in double lead jobs as Michael, a mobster and previous footballer and Rayappan, a hoodlum and Michael's dad, nearby Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Vivek and Kathir in other unmistakable roles. The film follows Michael, a mobster and a previous footballer who chooses to mentor a ladies' football crew when their mentor gets assaulted. Michael faces difficulties when his group doesn't help out him because of his fierce foundation and furthermore winds up chased by certain opponents who need vengeance.

Business Today stated that Bigil has collected a total of ₹300 crore worldwide, while Firstpost stated a gross of ₹285 crore. The film's Tamil Nadu theatrical distribution rights were sold at ₹80 crore[106] and it has grossed ₹143 crore in Tamil Nadu after four weeks. In three weeks, the film had collected ₹13 crore from Chennai alone. Bigil collected US$1 million at U.S box office, Vijay's fourth film to do so. The film has performed very well in Delhi and Mumbai, with sold-out shows at most locations in Mumbai the first week. As of 6 November 2019, Bigil has collected $11.5 million in overseas territories. The film earned more than 33,000 entries in France, overtaking Mersal and Enthiran. The film also earned GBP 588,234 in United Kingdom surpassing highest Mersal which earned GBP 560,858. In first six days, the film has reported to have earned $2 million in Malaysia.
